Business Services & Corporate Advisory (Accounting)We are seeking the services of an experienced Chartered Accountant and Business Adviser with strong SMSF experience to join our growing team.About our business:For over 20 years we have run a sustainable business which is team and client-centric as well as family-friendly.Our team approach enables you to develop strong long-term client relationships to become the "trusted adviser" our clients can rely upon.With over a dozen team members on board, over half of which have been here for 10-20 years, you will enjoy the benefits of a close-knit team working together to service a diverse range of business clients as well as high net wealth individuals.Our culture is one of trust and integrity in everything we do as well as always acting in the client's best interest.We enjoy working together as a team as well as participating in our social activities which helps to strengthen our culture and sense of belonging.The role will involve:Working with the management team and reporting to the principal of the firm.Managing both a diverse range of Business Services and SMSF clients.Assisting with the improvement and quality of our systems and processes.Managing, training and supervising a team of more junior accountants.Taking a lead role in the provision of complex technical advice.Taking a lead role in enhancing and promoting our internal culture within the firm.Developing a strong relationship with the financial planning division of the firm and the provision of advice thereto.The ideal candidate will:Possess strong leadership capabilities with a focus on execution.Have a professional approach to everything you do.Be CA qualified with a strong technical background.Have at least 10 years experience in public practice.Be experienced with SMSFs and BGL software preferred.Have a high attention to detail.Be client-centric and team-oriented.Have experience in Xero and MYOB preferred.Be able to build long-term and trusting relations with clients and team members alike.Be looking for a long-term stable position with seniority and career growth opportunities within a friendly professional environment.The successful applicant will be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Australian Resident.No Agencies please.All applications will be treated with the strictest of confidence.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years of public practice accounting experience do you have?Have you completed a chartered accountant (CA) qualification?How many years of taxation experience do you have?Do you have experience in a role which requires relationship management experience?Which of the following accounting packages are you experienced with?How many years' experience do you have as a business services manager?Do you have experience using Xero?To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory.
