Our environment is defined by a flexible curriculum that nurtures faith-filled, curious children, empowering them to become creative contributors and innovative problem solvers in an ever-changing world.By 2024, St Luke's has experienced remarkable growth, now enrolling over 1,800 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
In addition, our long day centre accommodates 59 children daily, and our specialised high-needs centre, Arrunga, supports 40 students with moderate intellectual disabilities.
The school is broken into three interconnected schools each with its own identity and purpose, but with a connection to the St Luke's College Community.Role OutlineUltimately responsible to the Principal Leader, a team of pedagogy coaches is accountable to heads of school for co-leading the learning priorities across the Schools of Leadership and Entrepreneurship.
With the skills to lead teachers to transform practice, pedagogy coaches model effective high-yield strategies which enable and support each student's engagement with learning outcomes and St Luke's 6 Pillars of Learning.
This is achieved through the commitment and dedication of the Pedagogy Coach in co-planning, co-teaching, co-debriefing and co-reflecting with teachers as individuals and in both small and large groups.
The Pedagogy Coach:Collaboratively leads, mentors and coaches teachers to design flexible curriculum and contemporary pedagogies;Takes responsibility to enhance learning outcomes which enhance the social skills and enterprise skills required for a changing world;Builds teacher capacity to provide relevant and authentic student-centred learning;Improves student learning through focused, in-situ teacher professional learning;Effectively uses data to facilitate learning which meets each student at their point of challenge;Ensures alignment with the School Vision.Requirements of the RoleThe pedagogy coach will:Support the Principal in the ministry of leadership, reflecting the mission of the Church by modelling respectful relationships with colleagues, students and families.Use research and data to think and plan strategically.Maintain a relational approach to team building through collaboration and critical thinking.Foster an innovative teacher mindset which supports student-centred learning.Model highly accomplished teaching using contemporary pedagogy and flexible curriculum design.Possess high-level communication skills and interpersonal skills including empathy and confidentiality.Undertake professional learning as a connected educator who contributes to system learning in a global world.Support teachers in the use of digital technology to enhance learning.Contribute to a culture which enables imagination, creativity and innovation.Ensure NESA compliance.Functions of the RoleLead, mentor and coach teachers, both 'in situ' and during professional learning meetings to provide experiential inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding.Please note that due to the fact that we live in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world, the nature, priorities and placement of this role will change over time.Application ProcessBy no later than 5pm 5 December, formally express your interest by forwarding:Two-page cover letter (or 2-minute video) outlining why you are suitable for this role by directly addressing the role requirements;One-page resume with three referees.All applications are to be marked attention and sent to Principal Leader, Mrs Kelly Bauer and applied through page up (CSPD jobs).Advertised: 21 Nov 2024 13:11 AUS Eastern Daylight TimeApplications close: 05 Dec 2024 17:12 AUS Eastern Daylight Time#J-18808-Ljbffr
