Teacher Role Requirements
At St Luke's, teachers strategically work in teams across a stage to collaboratively plan, prepare, teach, assess and evaluate student learning and are required to:
Support and assist the evangelising mission of Catholic education; See themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning; Work collaboratively with other teachers to design inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding; Enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student; Use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning; Use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data to inform 'next steps' for students; Demonstrate a deep love of their subject area and an understanding of curriculum and pedagogy, and an openness to learning; Regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle; Be open to growth and development through professional learning experience which includes practice analysis conversations, classroom observations and input from St Luke's coaches; Know and apply NESA and Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) requirements.
Qualifications and accreditations:
Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance Eligibility to teach in NSW according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete) This position involves working with children.
The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD's Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
Applicants wishing to work in any of the schools within the Diocese, either as a casual, temporary or full time employee, must be classified with the CSPD.
If you are not already classified, you will need to complete the online registration for teachers process found on the CSPD website.

A cover letter of no more than one A4 page, or a 2-3 minute video outlining why you are suitable for this role.
A supporting statement of no more than one A4 page about how your skills set, expertise and experience align with this new thinking, 'new normal' teaching role.
One page resume with three referees.
