Job Description 12 Month Fixed Term OpportunityBarangarooHybrid working availableData Operations Analyst, 52140How will I help?As a Data Analyst in CDO, you will support and advise our internal partners by providing in-depth analysis, leveraging data sources for reporting and using Westpac's data and analytical assets.Through this role, you will assist and drive the delivery of critical reporting, ad hoc data analysis, and operational documentation.
There will also be deliverables across multiple project areas focusing on using the Westpac data and systems for the betterment of our customers and the brand.Core deliverables from the role?Ensuring processes and procedures are followed and ensuring documentation is always up to date.Extracting and analysing data using data warehouse and database management software to conduct complex database queries and setting up automated processes for ETL.Participate/Lead stakeholder discussions to understand the situation and requirements that enable a problem to be defined with clarity and precision.Explore, develop, and maintain analytical dashboards in Tableau and PowerBi to ensure best practice is delivered.Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills to translate technical information/insights to non-technical audiences.Presenting and articulating the findings back to the stakeholders using visualisation tools and ensuring that learnings are incorporated into future initiatives.Assist in the provision of data and analysis to management or any other internal or external users as requested and authorised.What do I need?Programming experience across dataset creation and analytics using:SASTeradata SQL/SQL serverExcellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to tell stories about data.Extensive knowledge of various analytical and problem-solving techniques.Experience in the banking industry and financial concepts knowledge.Innovative and creative mindset.Knowledge of and experience in a Risk analytics or an environment where data analytics provided strategic or operational insight would be highly advantageous.Experience working in an Agile environment including use of JIRA and Confluence.How do I apply?Start here.
