Job Summary (Purpose):
The Day Shift Team Leader is responsible for developing and coaching the operations team, guiding them to execute our manufacturing plan and meet performance goals in a values-driven environment.
The Team Leader coordinates activities for operations and maintenance team members, gathers data, and identifies a daily strategy which maximizes product quality and productivity.
Main responsibilities:
Coordinates team training and activities regarding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), quality, sanitation, maintenance, and productivity.
Leads the team by exhibiting Company values and leadership principles.
Ensure team members are compliant with Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Accountable for meeting or exceeding work safety standards.
Facilitates a problem-solving environment that values team member involvement.
Consistently manage team performance in line with internal performance improvement guidelines.
Supports the implementation of Quality Assurance practices and safety goals.
Coaches team to handle daily activities such as timekeeping, crewing, and attendance.
Work with teams to increase innovation, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills.
Participates in equipment commissioning to ensure effective operationalization.
Escalates operational issues and breakdowns in line with the escalation procedure.
Required (Education, Knowledge required, Language skills, etc):
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Science 5+ years' experience in an FMCG manufacturing or similar environment 2+ years' experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor Experience in training and mentoring team members Preferred Requirements:
Strong communication skills, including active listening and formal presentation Experience with Continuous Improvement Systems, including Lean Tools Proficiency with Google Suite: Docs, Slides, and Sheets Preventative and Autonomous maintenance experience Previous SAP experience Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $ - $ USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
