Having also built new partnerships with key infrastructure players on iconic projects in Sydney, Newcastle, and regional NSW, the business has significant plans for further growth and provides excellent job security with progressive opportunities.
This position will be full time and based at the head office in Rydalmere.
Job Purpose
The HR/IR Manager is responsible for managing industrial relations (IR) and Human resources (HR) functions within the organisation.
This role focuses on fostering positive employee relations and building an engaging work environment while overseeing all aspects of human resources.
Key Responsibilities
Investigating and resolving complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
Collating and analysing employee feedback across all levels on a regular basis.
Revising and updating policies and procedures.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
Maintain accurate HR records.
Provide expert guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and best practices.
Manage and mentor HR staff, including providing guidance, coaching and performance feedback.
Manage employee onboarding, training and development programs.
Prepare reports for management on IR/HR matters, providing insights for decision making.
Qualifications and Competencies Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
A minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience, with a focus on Industrial Relations.
Strong knowledge of labor law, employment legislation, and industrial relations practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
