Estimator (Infrastructure Asset Remediation)

The CompanyOur client is a Nationwide, leading engineering contractor that was established close to 30 years ago.
They have been specialising in a range of solutions for Concrete Repair (Remedial), Corrosion Protection, Fibre Reinforced Plastics (FRP), and Waterproofing on various Infrastructure Assets.
The RoleOur client has an exciting permanent opportunity for an Estimator with experience estimating Concrete Repair (Remedial), Corrosion Protection and Infrastructure Waterproofing works to join their team.
Reporting directly into the Pre-contracts Manager, the Estimators primary objectives would be tender estimate and take off, and tender quality assurance and control.
Your key responsibilities: Compilation of tender submissions in accordance with timelines and review milestones.Perform accurate and timely quantity take offs from tender documentation provided and liaise with Bid Leader to ensure a full understanding of the required scope of works and programme.Prepare and present rated and coded Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and/or cost plan for internal review and issue appropriate information to the team.Print and maintain drawings registers within RFT documents.Liaise with Bid Lead and/or Pre-contracts Manager to ensure they are aware of tender status.Liaison with Quality, Safety and Environmental personnel to ensure that tenders comply with all management system requirements.Ensuring that appropriate Management System Records are being maintained for each tender, stored and indexed in an efficient filing system.Actively seek suitable tendering opportunities by perusing advertised tenders and where possible developing relationships with clients, vendors and subcontractors.Provide updates to the Area Manager and Business Development Managers on tender status.Show proficiency to accurately build up reasonable and appropriate measurements and rates with available information.What are we looking for? Tertiary Qualified in Engineering or ConstructionMinimum 3 + years previous experience estimating Concrete Repair (Remedial), Protective Coatings, Protective Linings, Cathodic Protection and Infrastructure Waterproofing works in AustraliaThorough understanding of the Concrete Repair and Corrosion Protection process - Desired / Not EssentialFull Australian working rights - No sponsorship availableWhat's on offer for you?
