Senior Project Engineer Transmission Lines

Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.The Role:Elecnor has a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer, Electrical to join the team on-site in rural NSW on a 14/7 FIFO or DIDO roster.As a Senior Project Engineer, Electrical you will assume a critical role in overseeing the comprehensive execution of high-voltage transmission line initiatives that include the design of stringing plans, methodologies and the implementation of strategy at site level.With a focus on delivering a safe, efficient, and successful transmission line project, the Engineer's technical leadership ensures the timely and compliant completion of complex OHTL stringing activities.Primary Accountabilities:Evaluate and improve constructability and develop effective stringing solutions and plans for 330kV and 500kVOversee the safe and effective delivery of stringing activitiesBe a senior figure in a team working to deliver works packages to program and budgetCollaborate with the Procurement team to develop scopes of work and evaluate and select appropriate sub-contractors and suppliersAnalyse risks within construction to ensure works are delivered safely and meet all environmental and quality requirements.Prepare construction budgets, forecast and updatesActively lead and exemplify a target zero safety cultureImplement systems and processes to manage the quality element of construction worksApply skills and knowledge to assist in planning and value engineeringLead in the management of subcontractors and advise on commercial aspects and performanceSkills & Experience:Degree in Electrical Engineering or 10+ years of OHTL electrical experienceThorough understanding of Australian OHS legislative requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhite Card (General Construction Induction Card)Driver's LicenseWe're building a diverse workforce.Elecnor is committed to being an employer of choice.
