Assistant Director, Health Grants Branch Australian Department of Social Services – Perth WA
We are looking for a high performing, experienced leader to fill an Executive Level 1 Assistant Director role in Perth.
Assistant Directors in the Hub lead and support staff to:
engage regularly with key stakeholders to ensure that programs are being delivered in a way that is consistent with the requirements of the grant agreement build networks and relationships with funded organisations, as well as other stakeholders such as the not-for-profit community sector, Commonwealth, state and territory governments, local government, peak representative organisations, and research bodies gather local intelligence on how programs are being delivered on-the-ground to inform policy development and program re-design drive team performance and sustain a high performing culture.
The key duties of the position include:
build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other business areas in the Community Grants Hub, state networks, client agencies, Commonwealth state and territory governments, local governments, peak representative organisations, not-for-profit community sectors, service providers, local communities, and research bodies build staff performance, capability and diversity through coaching and supporting staff in their work perform strategic risk management by proactively acting on risks that require mitigation, management and escalation provide advice and local intelligence on program and provider performance, and risk management and ensuring timely escalation when required contribute to innovation and business improvement strategies use various IT systems to monitor and record performance and risk data maintain knowledge of relevant program guidelines, legislation and policy frameworks.
