We are currently seeking an inspiring leader to take on the vital position of Service Manager in our Burnie branch in Somerset, Tasmania.
You will be a strong collaborator who thrives under pressure and is focused on HSE, people and our customer's needs.
ABOUT THE ROLE This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Branch/Operations/Service Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the management of all service employees and coordination of all operations within the Service Department.
You will be responsible for driving optimal performance, while leading and coaching 6 direct reports, as well as a team of 60+ experienced and dedicated individuals.Key responsibilities of this role are to: Promote and deliver a strong culture built on engagement and safetyMaintain customer relationships through exceptional stakeholder engagement and regular customer visitsDeliver positive financial results for the cost centres you overseeProvide support and leadership to your team with a values-based approachUtilise data to forecast, measure and improve overall department performanceOversee invoicing, Work in Progress (WIP) and warranty claims and prepare reports on these as requiredABOUT YOU You will be a true people leader, with heavy machinery and OEM experience, who is ambitious and thrives on motivating and getting the most out of their team.
To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience & attributes: Experience in an operational role with proven ability to boost performanceOutstanding communication skillsHighly developed business acumen skills with the ability to successfully manage customer relationships, budgets, data analysis and compile reportsAbility to coach others for high performance and manage teams in changing environmentsFamiliarity with Caterpillar (or similar) equipmentTertiary qualifications in business and/or mechanical trade background will be looked upon favourablyA strong leadership background, accompanied by advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skillsWhy work for us?
