RCR Mining Technologies has an exciting career opportunity at our Welshpool Office for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.
In this leadership position, you will be working within a dynamic and industry leading multi-disciplinary Engineering team, leading the design of Mechanical plant and equipment in the Bulk Materials Handling sector.
Using a First Principles approach to Engineering you will design OEM equipment, large plant and bespoke machines from the concept and pre-feasibility stages through to execution and client handover.
This key role provides opportunities for both personal reward and growth as you lead and mentor Engineering professionals and share your expertise within the wider business.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing Design projects including preparation of design plans, task and job lists and documentation to track project progressPerforming and verifying designs using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods, First Principles calculations, and/or current best practice Engineering methodsEnsuring designs are compliant to relevant Australian Standards, statutory requirements, client specifications and Safety in Design philosophyEnhancing Engineering processes and proceduresLeading and mentoring team members towards peak performanceTo be considered for this position, you will need to have: A degree qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering7+ years' of demonstrable experience in a Mechanical Engineering Design roleDesign Project Management experienceProven leadership and mentoring skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisationRelevant experience in the Mining and Resource industryGood Mechanical Engineering Design skillsCompetence in performing FEA calculations and validation using ANSYS, Nastran and/or Strand7 software packagesDemonstrated initiative in solving challenging problemsThe ability to meet deadlines and respond well to a changing work environmentAt RCR Mining Technologies, we value our employees and offer competitive remuneration, excellent working conditions, and attractive benefits such as:
