Your Contribution Provide advice to project stakeholders and relevant client representatives with respect to agreement making policy development and strategic positioning.
Develop and maintain highly collaborative relationships with First Nations people, traditional owners and other key stakeholders to underpin the success of projects.
Support the development of agreement making policy that builds and reframes our relationships and delivers outcomes aligned to First Nations people rights and aspirations.
Support projects and teams to ensure successful and timely delivery of outcomes in support of the Department's strategic direction.
Provide specialist advice including policy support and interpretation of the Native Title and Cultural Heritage Acts and related departmental policies, practices and processes to senior management on matters relevant to the development of agreements and partnership initiatives with First Nations people.

About You Demonstrated ability to effectively develop, monitor and evaluate complex projects, specifically related to policy development.
Demonstrated ability to develop policy options to resolve complex issues, preferably in an agreement making space or similar.
A thorough knowledge, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire, of relevant legislation and the policy landscape addressing the rights and aspirations of First Nations people.
Demonstrated experience supporting productive working relationships, particularly in working effectively with First Nations people.
High level communication skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate with influence and negotiate confidently.
