Optimised Engineering Solutions (Optimised) is a specialised structural engineering consultancy utilising structural optimisation, rigorous methods, full-scale testing & research, and performance-based design to create finely tuned buildings with minimised material quantities.
Based on the Gold Coast, we deliver projects in South East Queensland and Victoria.
Optimised is committed to providing a traditional service-based consultancy that answers every call, addresses every site issue, and collaborates with all stakeholders across the project.
Our service does not stop with the production of drawings.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role based in our Gold Coast office in Burleigh Heads with some travel around South-East Queensland depending on project requirements.
We are looking for a graduate engineer with 2 years of construction or building experience.
The engineer should be dedicated to delivering work that meets our clients' needs, driven to continually develop their technical abilities, and interested in improving our design systems.
We expect the engineer to be based in the office, as we do not offer working from home.
However, we do offer flexible hours conditional on workload and work performance.
Your Primary ResponsibilitiesDelivering precast temporary works designsAnswering precast temporary works queriesFinite Element modelling in Strand 7Coordinating and completing inspections on projects under constructionReinforced concrete design of walls and columnsReinforced and post-tensioned design on slabsSteelwork design and detailingCompleting design sketches in BluebeamContributing to technical research and presentationsQualificationsIdeally 2 years of construction or building experienceBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering requiredKnowledge of concrete and structural mechanics requiredProficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, BluebeamExperience with Strand7, RAPT, Inducta SLB, SpacegassStrong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlinesGenuine interest in concrete mechanics and design automationWhat's in it for you?OES will provide opportunities and support you to develop into a technically and professionally excellent engineerOES will assist you in completing your RPEQ and NER applicationOES will financially reward you with a salary package reflective of your increased responsibilities and the company's performanceIf your skills and experience match this position and you're ready for a new role, apply now and send us your CV.
