Employment Type: Permanent Part TimePosition Classification: Staff SpecialistRequisition ID: REQ537167Position OverviewSydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Balmain Hospital.
We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality Specialist Rehabilitation Medicine services to inpatients and outpatients across RPAH and Balmain, consistent with the role delineation of the hospitals.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide and support the development and planning of services to patients under the care of the Rehabilitation Medicine Service at RPAH and Balmain Hospital in SLHD.Assist the Director of Rehabilitation Medicine in service planning and quality improvement activities.Ensure a high standard of professional performance and encourage an academic environment that supports education, research, and professional development.QualificationsThe successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and possess recognised qualifications in Rehabilitation Medicine and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
New fellows who will receive their fellowship in early 2025 can be considered.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
