In accordance with section 45.4 of the Academic Staff Agreement 2022, Casual academic staff are eligible to apply for appointment if they have been employed at Western Sydney University as a casual employee for at least two teaching sessions in the last 24 months.

| Includes 17% Superannuation Based at Western's Penrith Campus About the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment The School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment is located in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Cluster, together with the School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences, the School of Science, the MARCS Institute and the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment.
The School operates from three of the eleven WSU campuses: Penrith campus, Parramatta South campus and Parramatta City campus.
The School offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including research programs that combine advanced academic knowledge with real-life training to suit a range of career needs and interests in the following disciplines: Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering and Industrial Design.
About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists within the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the team.
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be expected to conduct research in collaboration with the project team, maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the recycled concrete technologies and cement decarbonisation in the construction engineering industry.
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be expected to be involved in a range of research activities that span the research process which also include student supervision.
The position is outcome driven and satisfactory performance may be assessed regularly to ensure progress is made.
About the Project The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be supporting the Australian Research Council Project on sustainable development.
This position is based in Kingswood campus and the Fellow will focus on sustainable evaluation of green technologies aspects of the funded project.
The Fellow will report to project team for research direction and research assessment.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months and will be based at Western's Penrith Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.

About You We are seeking a driven and accomplished researcher with a strong focus on sustainable development within the construction sector.
You will have a proven record of conducting research and scholarly publishing, especially high-quality Q1 journals in the field of sustainable evaluation of development in construction.
You will also have a proven track record in securing competitive research grants.
Your expertise in experimental research design and methodology, coupled with proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis, will position you to lead impactful research projects.
With the ability to generate innovative ideas and conduct independent research, you will also demonstrate strong collaboration skills by engaging with government departments, professional networks, and key industry stakeholders.
You will be adept at working autonomously while exercising sound judgement within the guidelines of the University, and you will contribute effectively as part of a research-focused team.
