Where you'll be workingWestern Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Cumberland and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region.

What you'll be doingThe Project and Grants Manager is a pivotal role within the Integrated and Community Health (ICH) portfolio at Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD).
This dynamic position involves the effective management, coordination, and oversight of local, state, and Commonwealth funding grants and contracts, totaling approximately $17 million per annum.
The successful candidate will navigate the complexities of grant management and reporting, ensuring compliance and accountability while fostering impactful partnerships.
This role also includes responsibility for contract negotiations in consultation with Non-Government Organisations, the Ministry of Health, and various internal and external stakeholders, including Finance, Risk Management, and Internal Audit.
Additionally, the Project and Grants Manager facilitates the seamless execution of projects within the directorate by coordinating project activities, monitoring progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and mitigating risks.
Effective communication among stakeholders is crucial in this role.

Selection Criteria: Demonstrated experience in contract management and negotiation.Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with senior management in both government and non-government organisations.Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating projects from conception to implementation.Ability to interpret financial data, key performance measures, and prepare budgets and financial grant reports.Advanced organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent judgement.Experience in quality improvement, performance monitoring, and evaluation of programs and projects.Demonstrated core competency skills in Microsoft Office suite, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, corporate records systems, and other health information systems.Requisition ID: REQ531550Applications Close: 9th January 2025
