About the RoleThis role requires a proactive and enthusiastic individual to provide face-to-face customer service and support to our community, responding to customer enquiries, issuing and returning library items, and assisting with technology enquiries.
A demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and digital literacy is an advantage.
Provide proactive and community-focused customer service and support to the Darebin Community.Provide information to customers about library products, services and programs.Engage community members in a welcoming and inclusive environment.Assist customers to navigate digital resources and digital technologies.Skills & ExperienceA friendly, interactive and enthusiastic style with customers.Proficient at using and helping others to use digital devices.The ability to deal with and resolve conflict and negotiate acceptable outcomes within the scope of policy and procedures.Customer service experience in a library, hospitality or retail environment is an advantage.CultureAs a progressive leader in Local Government, Darebin City Council is passionate about social inclusion, sustainability, engagement and service excellence.
