Talent to recruit an experienced Packaging Technologist to join their technical team.Please note: this role is based in Regional Victoria – please only apply if you have the ability to relocate or live in the Albury area.Your solid packaging experience in manufacturing, preferably beverages, will see you play an integral role in leading project teams, developing framework for managing packaging changes, and coordinating with suppliers on design and development of packaging prototypes for production trials.As the sole packaging specialist, you will be working closely alongside the onsite technical team, and report directly to their Technical Manager.
Your ability to influence, guide and be seen as the 'subject matter expert' will see you succeed in the role.Key responsibilities of the role include:Coordinate with suppliers on the design and development of packaging prototypes and samples for production trialsWork with planning, product development and manufacturing to schedule and run packaging production trialsManage new packaging initiatives from concept through to launchPrepare and maintain technical documentationLiaise with global packaging technical team to ensure alignment across company brandingAdvance our clients sustainability packaging objectivesTo be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate:Tertiary qualification, with a degree in engineering or related disciplineStrong experience working as a packaging technologist within food or beverage manufacturingKnowledge across Australian packaging regulations, sustainability and circularityStrong knowledge of packaging materials, their functionality and substitutesStrong planning skills with project management experienceExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholdersExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills
