We're a growing Regional Destination Hotel that values its employees.What We OfferWork-Life BalanceA company that truly values its teamThe RoleAs Sous Chef, you'll support the Executive Chef in leading the kitchen team, crafting dishes with Yarra Valley's finest ingredients. You'll bring extensive culinary experience, a love for seasonal produce, and a proven track record in high-volume service. Your role will focus on team leadership, training, and service excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Executive Chef in menu creation and service executionOversee daily operations and mentor team membersManage stock, and labour costs, and ensure kitchen efficiencyFull-time availability, including weekends and holidaysAbout YouExperience in a Similar RoleStrong leadership, calm demeanour, and ability to work under pressureExperience in managing high volume kitchensExpertise in food safety, OH&S standardsPassionate about creating memorable dishesChampion of a positive kitchen culture, fostering creativity and calmnessAbout The Alpine HotelWe are located in beautiful Warburton in the Yarra Valley Region, 90 minutes east of Melbourne. It is the place to Eat, Drink & Sleep. The hotel consists of 32 rooms of accommodation lovingly restored to its former glory, a public bar, dining areas, a private dining room, function areas, and a beautiful beer garden overlooking the upper reaches of the Yarra River.We offer delicious seasonal menus highlighting the gastronomical delights for which the Yarra Valley is famous for, without forgetting where our traditional roots lie. We pride ourselves on creating house-made food and source our supplies locally from the Yarra Valley.At the Alpine, we value honesty, openness, and hard work, and our team is passionate about delivering exceptional food and service to our guests.You must have full Australian work rights for this position.We look forward to hearing from you.
