The Local is seeking a motivated, hands-on Venue Manager who thrives on autonomy and is excited to join a close-knit, collaborative team.
Located in the bustling heart of Surfers Paradise, The Local is an iconic Aussie pub known for its warm atmosphere, cold beers, hearty pub fare, and vibrant live sports scene.
Famed for its award-winning "Best Parmy," The Local has built a reputation as the go-to spot for both tourists and locals looking to unwind in a welcoming, laid-back environment.
As the Venue Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, fostering strong relationships with team members, patrons, and local suppliers, and maintaining a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.

Generous Salary $80,000k - $85,000k plus Super Quarterly KPI Bonus $44,000 Discount across 200+ venues in Aus/NZ Relocation assistance available for the right candidate Opportunity to be part of a professional and well-known hospitality team Autonomous role with excellent company support Exceptional team culture Key Responsibilities:
2+ years of Management experience in a similar venue Work with and communicate effectively with all departments within the Central Support team Understanding and ability to learn venue reporting and systems on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis P&L understanding and ability to deep dive into financials to analyse where there is an opportunity to grow your business Ability to generate revenue-building ideas throughout all aspects of the business Presence on the floor during peak service periods, including late nights and weekends Write and control an effective roster Ability to stocktake and investigate stock loss Have a market awareness and trend analysis relevant to food and beverage in the area Be able to implement and execute promotions throughout the business successfully Hold a current RLMV & Approved Managers license We value the diversity of our employees' experiences, talents, and cultures.
