The successful candidate will be competitively salaried and join a business with the integrity to put privacy compliance at the heart of its growth agenda.The RoleOur client is expanding its Compliance Advisory function with this critical new role.
The role will assist the business in understanding and meeting its privacy obligations through managing the execution and delivery of compliance-based advice on privacy.
You will be an integral part of the team, focusing on delivering best practice guidance on privacy compliance across all business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide quality and timely privacy advice to internal stakeholders;Continue to improve the privacy framework, including supporting documentation and training materials, to ensure it remains fit for purpose and consistent with regulatory requirements;Contribute to the successful delivery of the Compliance Plan, with respect to privacy;Work closely with the Privacy Officer to respond to external privacy queries and complaints;Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments as required;Privacy assurance and monitoring across the business;Design and co-ordinate privacy education and awareness programs that promote a positive culture of privacy; andDrive the escalation of privacy insights to the Board, and other relevant risk and compliance forums.About You5 years' experience in a privacy compliance, risk or legal role in financial services;Robust knowledge of privacy legislative requirements, including the Australian Privacy Principles;Competent drafting skills, with experience of policy and process writing and frameworks;Sound knowledge of compliance risk management frameworks, tools and techniques;Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders to drive organisational change and support team adaptation;Ability to deliver advice that effectively balances privacy obligations with the commercial imperatives of the business;Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities;Timely decision-making and effective negotiation skills; andA demonstrated self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.How to ApplyFor more information or a confidential discussion please contact Ravin De Silva at u&u on or email quoting reference number 39152.We look forward to receiving your application and assisting you with your job search.At u&u Recruitment Partners, we value diversity, equity and inclusion.
