Al Aseel is 22 years young, developed upon our love for food, service, family, sharing and fun.
The Al Aseel group continues to evolve and grow, with 9 Al Aseel restaurants in NSW.
In conjunction with this, a production kitchen in Greenacre with an incredible catering offering for corporate and private events - servicing clients in the retail, airline and government industries.
The Role
We are recruiting now for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to assist the Al Aseel team in running day to day activities of the kitchen.
The position is full time with an attractive salary package that also offers good work and life balance opportunities.
Your key duties and responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
Support the Executive Chef in menu planning and costing Assist with training, developing and motivating culinary staff to meet and exceed established food preparation standards on a consistent basis Manage the rostering of kitchen team Monitor all purchased supplies for quality and account for each delivered item Monitor performance Investigate customer complaints Modify work procedures or processes to meet deadlines Oversee work progress to verify safety or conformance to standards Accurately complete all Food Safety Checklists, temperature recordings, batch codes as per company guidelines Who you are?
Skillset and Experience
Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a restaurant setting is advantageous Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team Expertise in food preparation, quality control, and safety standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Passion for creating innovative, high-quality dishes Next Steps
