General Manager - Engineering & Manufacturing
Newly developed position to oversee the Engineering & Manufacturing departments as the General Manager.
Our client, MAK Water, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager for their Engineering & Manufacturing division.
This role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead and innovate within a dynamic team, driving the design, procurement, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning of capital projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safety of the team and financial performance of all projects, making this a pivotal role within the organisation.
What you'll do :
Lead the engineering and manufacturing teams through various stages of capital projects.
Accountable for the safety of your team and the financial performance of all projects.
Develop strong relationships with both clients and suppliers, ensuring project delivery meets time, budget, and specification requirements.
Participate in corporate management planning processes.
Monitor performance against budgets.
Work closely with the sales team to promote and expand the technical capabilities of the business.
Implement MAK Water's Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality plans.
Undertake regular performance reviews with the team and develop individual plans.
What you bring :
Engineering qualification (mechanical preferred) with experience in design and fabrication.
Management qualification (MBA / Diploma in management etc.)
would be highly desired.
Strong focus on safety and understanding of safety management systems.
Excellent oral presentation skills and ability to develop strong relationships with clients.
Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
