The Opportunity: Due to an internal promotion, Brightwater has a newly created Clinical Nurse Manager opportunity available south of the river, at The Oaks, located in Waikiki.
This 60-bed facility welcomes a diverse group of residents including people living with dementia.
We are seeking an experienced Nurse with excellent leadership capabilities, to take on a Clinical Nurse Manager role.
As a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM ) you will work in partnership with the site Service Manager to ensure high standards of clinical care to our clients, consistent with the Aged Care Quality Standards and Brightwater's Clinical Governance Framework.
CNMs provide clinical leadership and support to a team of health professionals, promoting holistic care to clients in a way that reflects Brightwater's Mission and Values.
As a well-established and diverse organisation, we can offer opportunities for the right clinical professionals to lead a clinical team within residential aged care.
You will be supported to progress in your CNM role, and to develop your skills in aged care nursing and in clinical leadership.
About you: We are seeking a passionate candidate who can bring their skills and experience to our newest facility.
Our CNM positions are offered to clinical nurses, or equivalent, with a minimum of three years' experience, on a permanent full-time basis.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Three years minimum experience as a Clinical Nurse (ideally within a RAC environment) or equivalent and currently registered with the AHPRA.
Excellent clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Leadership capability and initiative, including an interest in leading and supporting others.
Motivation and capacity to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary model.
Sound understanding of processes needed to respond to clinical and quality audits using the principles of continuous improvement.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
The capability to liaise, consult and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to build successful relationships.
Knowledge of the aged care sector and standards.
Exposure to recruitment practices, and an understanding of staff performance management and development processes.
Availability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of clients or their families.
It is a requirement of this position to participate in an on-call roster.
Evidence of up-to-date flu vaccination.
A NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance.
A satisfactory National Police Clearance (less than 12 months old).
A WA driver's licence.
