Multicultural Liaison Officer

This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment until 30/06/2025 with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
VCID No.939214 Position Profile: We are seeking a competent professional to join our multidisciplinary Community Refugee Health Service.
The Multicultural Liaison Officer (MCLO) will collaborate with the Community Refuge Health Team to provide equitable and culturally sensitive service to clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support improved health and well-being of clients through appropriate and culturally sensitive services.Work collaboratively within the Community Health Refugee Health Team to provide health navigation support to clients/families, including understanding health rights e.g., use of interpreters, accessing health care services, and improving client health literacy.Act as a resource or cultural advocate when required or assist clients to advocate on their own behalf.Eligibility: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
This position is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check.
