Hospitality - Kitchen Hand/Cleaner | Lefroy Care Centre | 28 HRS/FN Apply now Job no: 496856 Work type: Part time Location: Southern Suburbs Categories: Hospitality Eager to bring some warmth and care to the kitchen, serving up comfort and smiles whilst bringing cleanliness and care to every corner, ensuring a sparkling environment for our wonderful residents?The Role:The position of the Kitchen Hand & Cleaner is to ensure the safe preparation, storage, and service of all food items whilst also demonstrating effective time management in cleaning, following schedules, interacting appropriately with residents, respecting their lifestyles, and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.This position is a Permanent Part-Time role offering 28 hours per fortnight, working from at our Lefroy Care Centre.You must be able to commit to the hours below to be considered.Week 1Tuesday 0800 – 1200 (Cleaning)Week 2Monday 0800 – 1200 (Cleaning)Tuesday 0800 – 1200 (Cleaning)Key ResponsibilitiesPrepares and plates food, serves and clears away meals in line with food preparation schedules.Ensure client meals comply with regulatory food safety standards and meet nutrition and presentation requirements.Maintains the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.Maintains appropriate resident interactions in line with the organisational values.Considers resident lifestyles and personal choice.Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with others, utilising appropriate channels for assistance guidance and concerns.Cleaner:Demonstrates competent time management techniques in cleaning routines.Vacuums, sweeps, dusts and mops all designated areas.Maintains appropriate resident interactions in line with the organisational values.Considers resident lifestyles and personal choice.Maintains effective interpersonal relationships.Evidence of COVID-19 and Current 2024 Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies.Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity).Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks.Willingness to attend a paid 1-day (Monday) induction at our Rivervale Training Institute.Previous kitchen / food preparation / cleaning experience within the aged care industry.Proven organisational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required.Demonstrated good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.How to Apply:If you are interested in this role and meet the essential criteria, please click the "apply now" button.
