Due to recent machinery of government changes, the Energy Division has been transitioned to Queensland Treasury.
This role will be advertised under the former Department of Energy and Climate while establishment changes are finalised.
Your role will include the provision of strategic and operational advice, research and analysis, including briefing the Treasurer and senior leadership on energy system resilience and emergency management matters.
Your ResponsibilitiesAs The Manager, You Will: Conduct and coordinate high level advice and analysis on a wide range of policy, project, commercial, strategic and confidential matters.Lead and manage the effective delivery of policies and projects through scoping and planning, establishing governance arrangements, managing allocated resources and developing methodologies for future work programs.
This includes the coordination of work programs that involve legislation changes.Build, maintain and develop strong and effective relationships, work collaboratively and negotiate extensively with divisional staff and other areas of the department and external stakeholders to manage and monitor projects and policy initiatives and report on their progress and outcomes.Exercise a high level of judgement to effectively manage competing priorities while working collaboratively with colleagues, or individually, to deliver workloads on time and which meet customer's expectations.Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations and correspondence on behalf of the senior and executive leadership and the Treasurer.Contribute to a positive and effective team culture by playing a lead role in work area goal-setting, service improvement and other Unit/Divisional activities.About YouWe recognise and celebrate that everyone is unique and we are looking to find the eligible person best suited to the role.
