We pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and most importantly our unwavering passion for the rights of people with a disability.Skillset RequiredManual handlingHoist (stand up, ceiling, lifters)Knowledge and experience with Parkinson's Disease, Centre Cord Syndrome, and StrokeExperience with challenging behaviors.Mandatory RequirementsFirst Aid and CPR certificate.NDIS Worker Screening CheckManual Handling certificate.Working with Children Check (WWCC)Valid Driver's License and comprehensive car insurance.The Shifts May IncludePersonal careCommunity access (transport to appointments and/or shopping)Social SupportMeal preparation and medication assistanceGeneral domestic tasksRequired QualitiesProfessional approach.Ability to work under pressure.Excellent attention to detail.Clear verbal and written communication skills.Display a commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of AHS.Ensure that the AHS Code of Conduct is adhered to at all times.Ensure that all policies, procedures, and work practices are adhered to at all times.Proven ability to work in a team environment and build collaborative relationships.Ability to multi-task and work flexibly in responding to various needs of the customer.Proven ability in case management or in undertaking GP management plans.Ability to plan, prioritize & manage day-to-day activities in an efficient manner.Skills & CompetenciesHas experience and knowledge using hoists.Certificate III in Individual Support or its equivalent is highly desirable.Ability to follow an individualized plan to provide person-centered support.Experience with high-intensity care is highly desirable.#J-18808-Ljbffr
