Specialist In Anaesthesiology And Perioperative Medicine

About the department The Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine unit provides anaesthetic services to more than 26,000 patients undergoing surgery and other procedures at the Alfred, Caulfield, and Sandringham Hospitals each year, as well as specialist pain and perioperative medicine services.
Anaesthesia services are delivered in the operating theatres, emergency department, intensive care unit, and birth suite, as well as procedure areas such as radiology and interventional cardiology. We provide an integrated Acute Pain Service and are a state trauma referral hospital as well as the Victorian heart and lung transplantation centre.
About the role Applications are invited for Full Time and Fractional opportunities as Specialist in Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. Successful applicants will be expected to work in a variety of clinical situations and across multiple campuses of Alfred Health, including The Alfred and Sandringham Hospital. Significant experience in the management of major trauma and perioperative medicine is desirable.
Qualifications and experience Applicants must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency without conditions, undertakings, or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice.Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.Demonstrate relevant contemporary knowledge and experience in Anaesthesia.Meet Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Anaesthesia.Enquiries: Dr Alan Kakos, Deputy Director, Department of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine via email ******
