The Role:
The Head of Commercial Operations is a pivotal leadership position responsible for shaping and executing all commercial strategies within the Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) and global regions.
This senior executive will work closely with internal and external partners, driving business growth and ensuring commercial success across international markets.
The role involves leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across various regions, all while maintaining a focus on sustainable, long-term growth.
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Commercial Operations will also play an instrumental role in driving strategic decisions, innovations, and market penetration for the company.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team , this role carries significant responsibility and influence over the company's direction.
The Head of Commercial Operations will be accountable for delivering on key performance metrics, including revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability, while ensuring the operational excellence of the company's commercial processes and systems.
This role also requires board reporting to provide regular updates on business performance, strategy implementation, and future opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy Development: Develop and lead the execution of comprehensive commercial strategies across the ANZ region and key international markets.
Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture long-term, collaborative relationships with key partners in international markets.
Sales Performance: Drive the achievement of annual sales targets for both ANZ and global markets.
Operational Excellence: Lead the development and continuous improvement of commercial systems, processes, policies, and infrastructure.
Marketing Strategy & Execution: Oversee the creation of a global marketing strategy.
Leadership & Team Development: Foster a high-performance work culture that attracts, retains, and motivates top talent.
Innovation Leadership: Act as the internal champion for new innovations, programs, and initiatives.
Board Reporting & Strategic Guidance: Provide the Board of Directors with regular updates on performance against targets.
Public Representation & Ambassador Role: Represent the company externally at events, conferences, and meetings.
Ethical Conduct & Integrity: Ensure adherence to the highest ethical standards in all aspects of the role.
Your Profile:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or Social Sciences.
Professional Experience: A proven track record as a senior leader within global commercial operations, with at least 8+ years of experience in marketing, sales, business development, or related functions.
Global Exposure: Demonstrated experience working across multiple international markets.
Leadership Capabilities: Strong leadership skills, with a history of driving cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.
Strategic and Financial Acumen: Ability to think strategically, develop comprehensive plans, and execute them effectively.
Delivering Results: A proven track record of meeting or exceeding key performance targets.
