Earthworks/Civil Project Manager

McCosker Contracting are seeking a Project Manager with experience in Tailings Management and Bulk Earthworks to join our team in Gove, Northern Territory.
In this position you will provide effective management of the project team, and successful planning, management and delivery of the contracted works in accordance with client requirements.
This role is accountable for successful project outcomes through effective leadership of the project team, managing the program schedule, risk, safety, operations, and resources associated with project deliverables.
This position will work individually and in a team environment to deliver exceptional outcomes, while maintaining a safe and productive culture and having a positive impact on the community in which we operate.
This position is required to travel and work on various project sites, where we operate, to support the successful delivery of project and company goals.
To be successful for this role:Industry recognised qualification in project management or equivalentExperience in civil engineering and project managementKnowledge of the civil construction industry and current projectsExperience in a civil based businessAble to interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience in coordinating labour, resources and procurementHighly effective in negotiating and communicating with clients and project personnelExperience contributing to tenders and delivering projects on time and within budgetDemonstrated ability to lead and implement the scheduled program of workHighly effective in adhering to legislation and standards for performance, quality, cost and safetyCurrent Queensland Open Drivers LicenceGeneral Construction Induction (white card/blue)About you:Self-motivated in the completion of tasksUse of confidentiality, and discretion when dealing with sensitive informationAble to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholdersAble to manage time effectively, using strong organisational skillsLead by example, acting ethically and with integrityTreat all people with respectAble to take direction and follow instructionsDesire to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve goalsActively comply with industry standards and related policies and proceduresPerform tasks only when competent and authorised to do soPerform with a high level of attention to detailAbout McCoskersMcCosker are experts in the civil construction industry offering a diverse range of services to the mining, construction, building, gas and industrial sectors.
