Senior Solutions Designer

Job Description
How will I help?The Treasury Technology team builds and supports solutions for Westpac Group Treasury's management of core Funding as well as measurement and management of Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk. Treasury Data Platforms are a central function of the bank's core operations and will see considerable transformation over the next few years from Treasury's data modernisation strategy and the core banking technology simplification program. The Senior Solution Designer is an important new role that will contribute to major parts of the solution design and planning of the many interdependent streams.
What is required for the role:

Accountability for leading sub-streams of Data Solutions and Integration impacts across Treasury and Enterprise programs
Consultation and Engagement Upstream and Downstream across Group functions at project peer level
Propose solution options for re-engineering larger pieces of end to end and participate in the build
Preparation of Solution Impact Assessments

This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne and will require attending the office.
What do I need?
Responsibilities will include:

Extensive Solutions Designer experience - leading sub-streams Data Solutions and Integration impact
Very strong batch data ingestion/processing experience
Solution & Data Designer/Architect/Security/Compliance experience
Legacy and Modern Data related technologies experience - SQL Server, Azure, Synapse, SPARK & SQL
Strong presentation and communication skills to Head of Department level
Must have financial services experience
