What you'll do
Review workplace injury claims and assess liability, managing claims to a return-to-work outcome.
Obtain and review medical, financial, investigative and rehabilitation reports to assist in the accurate assessment of individual claims.
Ensure legislative compliance timeframes are met in conjunction with ongoing review of medical, financial, investigative and rehabilitation reports.
Adopt appropriate strategies to resolve claims cost effectively.
Ensure early access to appropriate rehabilitation so that injured claimants can achieve optimal recovery from their injuries.
Provide an excellent level of customer service to the legislative authority, employers, and injured workers through compliance with legislation, timely response times and efficiency in processing.
What you'll bring
Previous claims management or customer service experience with a track record for delivering results would be desirable.
Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy for the customer.
Strong priority management and organisational skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills – listen, build rapport, communicate complex information, and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders including claimants, third-party providers, external bodies and internal teams.
Well developed administrative and written skills and the ability to effectively manage all aspects of each claim within the restraints of legislation.
Strong commitment and a high degree of integrity to help meet and exceed customer expectations.
