Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Full timeOur client based in Melbourne's West, who manufacture caravans, is seeking to appoint an Operations Manager on a permanent basis. The Operations Manager will be responsible for internal processes and systems to enhance efficiency and foster collaboration across various teams within the organisation. This role will focus on developing comprehensive project plans, standardising operational procedures, and ensuring all teams are aligned with the organisation's goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, process optimisation, and project management.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Optimisation:Analyse current operations, processes, and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.Develop strategies to streamline operations and reduce costs.Project Management:Lead and manage programs and projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.Develop detailed project plans that align with overall business objectives.Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments to break down silos.Implement tools and processes that enhance teamwork and knowledge sharing.System Integration:Evaluate and improve existing systems and software used by teams to ensure they are scalable and integrated smoothly, supporting efficient workflow and data consistency.Training and Development:Develop and deliver training programs to staff to enhance their understanding and competence in using new systems and processes.Leadership Development:Identify gaps in current management skills and develop programs to enhance leadership capabilities across all levels of management.Change Management:Lead change management initiatives, ensuring staff are engaged and buy into new processes and practices.Organisational Assessment:Conduct thorough assessments of current processes and team dynamics to identify root causes of inefficiencies and interpersonal conflicts.Performance Management:Redefine performance metrics and evaluation processes to encourage teamwork, accountability, and managerial effectiveness.Reporting and Communication:Prepare detailed reports on operational performance for upper management and ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed of ongoing operational developments.Strategic Planning and Execution:Provide input into the strategic plan that aligns with the company's goals for the contract duration.Lead the execution of the business plan, ensuring they meet the deliverables and milestones.Qualifications/Skills:Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field.Minimum of 5 years in operations management, with proven experience in process improvement and project management within a complex organisational structure.Strong leadership and people management skills.Excellent project management skills, with a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar being advantageous.Proficient in process optimisation methodologies.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics.If you are a dedicated individual with a positive attitude and a passion for Management, we would love to hear from you.
