Financial Accountant

The PositionReporting to the Chief Accountant and working within a team of talented finance professionals within the business.
You will be responsible for providing a wide range of accounting functions, primarily focused around financial and audit issues.
You will work closely with other members in the accounting team with a collaborative approach to achieving financial reporting outcomes.This is a vital role within the financial accounting team, offering career opportunities and development within a large, complex commercial business environment.
Key Responsibilities Ownership of all transactional, accounting and reporting needs for relevant divisionsPreparation of month end reporting within allocated timelinesProvide commentary around variances in monthly resultsCoordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support annual auditsPerform in-depth analysis of the general ledger, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or irregularities.Skills and Experience CA/CPA or equivalent qualificationProven track record in a financial accounting role within a commercial environment or comprehensive experience within a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firmAspirational nature with a drive to achieve outcomes and further develop yourself and careerStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsThe OrganisationSharp & Carter are proud to partner with this large commercial organisation with genuine career advancement opportunities as they look to promote from within as their first preference where possible.
