Army Driver RoleWe are seeking an Army Driver to play a pivotal role in the operation and management of sophisticated military vehicles in all conditions, over all kinds of terrain.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for transporting cargo, personnel, and dangerous goods to support training and operations in Australia and overseas.
This includes:
Driving specialist vehicles including G Wagons, Hawkei PMV-L, and heavy utility trucks.Delivering personnel, stores, equipment, and Combat Service Support - utilising road, rail, sea, and air transportation.Camouflaging a vehicle.Operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts, winches, and cranes.Supervising and assisting with loading and unloading of vehicles.Conducting non-technical inspections.Recovering damaged vehicles using vehicle recovery equipment.Operating radio/communications equipment fitted to a vehicle.Transporting dangerous goods.BenefitsYou will enjoy a range of benefits, including:

Drivers are employed across most Army locations primarily QLD, NSW, SA, and the NT.
SalaryYour starting salary will be approximately $56,385 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and will increase as you progress through training.
On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you'll enjoy a package starting from $79,615 per annum.
EligibilityTo be eligible for this role, you must:
Be at least 17 years of age when you enter the ADF.Hold at least a current learners licence and have a current provisional/probationary driver's licence at the time of enlistment.Have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics.Be an Australian citizen.
If you are not an Australian Citizen, you may still be eligible to join the ADF if you meet certain criteria.Be reasonably fit and healthy.Be able to successfully obtain a security clearance.
