About The Care HomeBupa Tugun is a modern care home situated in a lovely beachside suburb on the sunny Gold Coast. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding care for our residents with a 95% positive overall satisfaction rating Our home is a wonderful welcoming facility, with a team supporting our 157 bed home – the largest in Australia Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.About The RoleAs the General Manager of our Tugun care home, you will have full responsibility for its overall daily operations. You will support and champion the Bupa Model of Care to our residents, create a culture for our people to love working at Bupa, and you will achieve extraordinary business performance that promotes an exceptional resident experience. You will be supported by the care home leadership team and the Regional Manager, as well as Quality and Education Consultants & Regional Care teams to achieve our desired business goals and provide high level of care expected by our residents and their families.DutiesOperational managementCollaborate with clinical leaders to minimise clinical riskFinancial managementACFI managementStaff retention and recruitmentTraining and development of staffSuccession planningOccupancy managementRoster managementLiaise with internal and external stakeholdersSkills and ExperiencePrevious management experience in a multi-level residential aged care homeExceptional operational leadership experienceDemonstrated abilities in growing and developing peopleAdvanced understanding of service improvement, WHS principles and previous experience within a regulatory environmentProven ability to manage resources and exceed targetsTrack record of accomplishment of successfully implementing change initiativesPossess excellent communication skills with high levels of emotional intelligenceA thorough understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and OutcomesCompletion of, or working towards, a post graduate qualification in Health Management/Aged Care or related field (desirable)CultureThe General Manager is responsible for continuing to foster a supportive and professional working environment within the care home.
