Job DescriptionViking Mechanical is a leading aftermarket workshop specialising in exceptional vehicle and equipment maintenance based in Paget Mackay.
We are expanding our capabilities and building our business to hire a dynamic team to provide exceptional customer service in the Mackay and Bowen Basin region.
We are currently seeking multiple Trade Qualified Heavy Commercial and Light Vehicle Mechanical Technicians to join our team.
Your duties will include but are not limited to: Performing vehicle and equipment repairs.Site maintenance work as outlined by the manufacturer with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.Communicating effectively with the parts departments and service advisors to keep customers informed on the progress of their vehicle/equipment.Conducting multipoint inspections and providing recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of the vehicle/equipment.Routine services and maintenance repairs on fleets of trucks, trailers, and light vehicles and equipment.Fault diagnosis and resolution.Maintaining accurate records of work completed.Working autonomously in a largely unsupervised role and collaborating well with others.Communicating with management and prioritising work in a busy and challenging environment.To be considered for this role, candidates must be: Trade qualified Mechanical Technician.Prepared to travel for site work.Holding an A/C licence (beneficial).Having previous experience working on road transport (highly regarded).Able to work autonomously and within a team environment.Possessing a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.Having a strong safety focus and commitment.Holding a Light Vehicle Trade qualification.Able to undertake Standard 11 and a Coal Board Medical.Passing a drug and alcohol workplace test.Having a current licence.Package:Salary: Between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum + SuperAbove Award Rates + Superannuation + Leave EntitlementsFlexible Salary Options Available for the right candidate.Relocation Reimbursement available for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will provide safe, efficient, and compliant diagnostic, maintenance, and component replacement services.
You will develop relationships and build trust.
