Job Description A Career that lets your passion shine: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Conference & Events Operations Manager to oversee our conference, events, and banqueting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of all events, from arrival to the final farewell, while maintaining the highest standards of service.
ResponsibilitiesEvent Management: Coordinate and manage all aspects of conference, event, and banqueting operations, ensuring each event runs smoothly and exceeds client expectations.Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, providing expert advice, and ensuring their vision is brought to life.Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate your team, ensuring excellent performance and fostering a positive work environment.Operational Excellence: Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to luxury standards.Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards in all operations, consistently reviewing and improving processes for efficiency and effectiveness.QualificationsWhat you will bring to the role: Proven experience in event management, preferably in a luxury hotel or similar environment.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Additional InformationThrive in our Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach community: Employee discounts on accommodation, dining, and lifestyle with Accor hotels.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Discounted parking.Paid birthday leave.Personalized reward & recognition program.Work in the heart of Broadbeach, with walking distance to beaches, restaurants and shops.Belong in a place where you can be yourself and love what you do.
