Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of engineering, maintenance, continuous improvement, and capital projects, supporting standard working hours.In this role you will:Lead the Maintenance & Engineering team to ensure effective operation of the site to maximize efficiency and cost.Oversee the Operations Improvement Program within the Maintenance/Engineering.Effectively manage maintenance activities within allocated costs.Manage weekly maintenance meetings.Support maintenance of ISO9001 and AS5146 accreditation & ensuring adherence with all Quality System procedures.Support with annual budgets & forecasting.Manage all service contractors to comply with WSHE requirements.Plan and schedule maintenance and shutdowns as required.Develop an engineering and maintenance strategy including timeframes to deliver best practice maintenance systems.Co-ordinate the maintenance function to optimize the availability and productivity of plant and equipment (OEE improvements).Work with key stakeholders to identify and implement operation improvement projects.Implement the CSR Way Preventative Maintenance Program.What you bring to the roleTertiary/formal qualifications in Mechanical (or Mechatronics) Engineering or relevant trade qualifications – not essential.Previous Maintenance & Engineering Management experience within a unionised industrial or complex manufacturing operations environment.Previous experience managing multiple capital projects.Exposure to 5S lean principles.Experience in successfully leading Maintenance, Engineering & Production teams.Results-oriented and ambitious, with a strong focus on safety awareness & environmental knowledge.Sound understanding of computerised maintenance management systems (SAP preferred).Proficiency in using CMMS and applying SHE principles and systems.Skilled in making financial decisions with attention to detail.Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and knowledge of a wide variety of equipment.Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage key stakeholders at all levels.Resilience, with an ability to work with stakeholders to get the job done safely and to the right standard.An eye for continuous improvement and motivation to create change to improve processes.We strive to support your professional and personal growth.
