Small Accounting Practice Canberra location $120,000 + super My client is a privately owned property development and investment construction group that manages a diverse portfolio of properties across ACT.
Whilst this is the core of their business, they are also a CPA Public Accounting Practice that prepare and lodge BAS and Tax Returns for their clients.
Due to growth, they are looking to hire a Senior Accountant into the Finance team who has a passion and expertise in Tax to help with preparing Financial Statements and the review of Tax returns for Individuals, Trusts, Partnerships and associated entities.
Duties will include: Preparation of financial statements for multiple entities including trusts and companies.
Prepare and review tax returns and associated reports (BAS, Taxable Payments, Payment Summaries etc) for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts.
Tax compliance and advice - Income Tax, GST, Capital Gains Tax, fundamentals of trust law, and superannuation provisions.
Detailed preparation and presentation of monthly management reports for Management and the Board.
Review and analysis of property portfolio performance and management of workflows and prioritisation of jobs.
Reporting and reviewing ASIC compliance.
General assistance and advice across finance as required.
To be considered, you will be CA/CPA qualified and be looking to join a fast-paced , family owned growing organisation.
You will have experience in business services (accounting & tax) and have strong technical skills in preparation of financial statements and tax compliance.
Any experience working within Property / Investment / Construction industries will be highly regarded.
This is a permanent role which offers excellent professional development, flexible working and free on-site parking.
Inner-South Canberra location.
