About the role:Hype DC has a key Senior Retail Leadership opportunity for an experienced State Manager.
You will be responsible for leading a team of 2 direct Area Manager reports and work with our 14 Store Leaders, indirect reports, across our stores in QLD to continue to accelerate the growth of our brand in the Queensland market.
We are looking for a State Manager who will build and drive a high-performance culture, inspire, and motivate the state and store teams and work closely with the Head of Retail and Support office functions to deliver business growth within your portfolio of stores.

We are looking for an experienced leader who: PEOPLE & LEADERSHIP: Fosters a respectful and inclusive environment and culture by aligning to our core brand Values: Authenticity, honesty, inclusivity, and accountability.Has the ability to build a strong and diverse team with varying experience levels and skillsets in order to drive store results.Will work closely with the Area Management team to grow our store leaders through effective coaching and development practices.Creates a supportive learning environment by delivering ongoing feedback, mentoring, and coaching to the Area Management leadership team.Has the ability to work closely with our recruitment support office functions to both develop and execute effective recruitment strategies.Can establish strong professional partnerships with other key stakeholders and collaborate with them to deliver on business objectives.BUSINESS FINANCIALS AND OPERATIONS: Drives strategies for QLD stores to deliver on business financial metrics and sales growth.Monitors states financial metrics through evaluation and reporting on individual area and store performance against business objectives.Will work closely with Head of Retail and key business functions to drive the growth of the QLD business.Has a strong understanding of operational excellence requirements and ability to drive compliance with Area Managers and Store teams.To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and CORE values: Leadership skills in influencing, inspiring, motivating, and empowering direct reports, indirect reports, and wider Hype DC team.Strong communication skills.
Ability to communicate clearly, openly, honestly and in a timely manner.
Creates a positive environment for two-way feedback.High level of business acumen: Is able to understand trade patterns, business reports, P&L measures, budgeting, wage management, sales forecasts, etc.Collaboration and teamwork: ability to work harmoniously and productively with others to achieve business goals.
Proactive in building partnerships with key functions in support office.Operational experience: Inventory management, Visual Merchandising, Health, Safety and Well-being.Adaptable to a changing environment.
