Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) is looking for two permanent Tactical Skills Training Officers to join the Tactical Skills and Weapons Training Unit based at the QCS Academy in Wacol.
The Tactical Skills Training Officer plays a key role in delivering high-quality tactical training to correctional staff.
This role is essential for maintaining the standards, compliance, and consistency of our tactical skills programs across QCS.
Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver tactical skills training programsSet instructional standards for consistent tactical skills training across QCSDevelop performance criteria for course competency in tactical skillsReview and report on training/assessment procedures for updatesEngage with stakeholders to ensure staff receive best-practice trainingValidate tactical skills training tools per departmental policiesUse evaluation feedback to improve the training curriculumSupport high standards by training and developing Tactical Skills InstructorsEvaluate and guide centre-based tactical skills instructorsConsult with stakeholders to ensure continuous improvementCoordinate a training calendar with centre management for complianceThis is a great opportunity to influence the future of tactical skills training within Queensland Corrective Services
