But did you know we have 23 divisions, 135 sites nationally, employ nearly 3000 people and operate a fleet of over 2300?
We do more than collect the bin from your street; we also convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet in-house and have our own bespoke technology systems.
THE ROLE As an Operations Manager, you will lead our Council Contracts division in the Sunshine Coast region.
The main responsibility of this role is to lead our team to effectively manage daily operational goals for our various contracts in the region.
This role calls for a 'hands-on' and tenacious leader who is driven to succeed through team engagement and an understanding of principles that underpin excellence in transport operations.
You will be working with a safe, modern and reliable fleet, serviced and maintained in our on-site workshops.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist and lead operations on a day-to-day basisSupport and mentor a team of 30+ driversWillingness to drive a truck regularlyEstablish and manage relationships with customers, team members and stakeholdersMentor and train your teamCoordinate and optimise fleet activities - agile and flexibleComply with laws, regulations and requirements including OH&S with an understanding of return to work processesIdentify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvementABOUT YOU Have a current HR (Heavy Rigid) License - preferableExperience in transport, logistics or service industry would be favourableDemonstrated experience in management processes including associated administrative componentsWell-developed people skills, with solid time managementPrevious experience in people leadershipKPI focused with the ability to perform under pressureProvide up to date driving records at interview stageAble to successfully satisfy a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testingBENEFITS We appreciate there is more to life than work; we provide a variety of work options to ensure the job gets done, with competitive remuneration and a range of benefits, regardless of your role or location including:
