What you'll doYou will report to the Analytical Manager and will have approximately 2 chemists reporting to you.
Your team focuses on analytical instrument validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting as well as analytical method lifecycle management.
In addition to the technical and validation management, you will perform investigations, you will be the Analytical representative for site strategic projects, and you play a pivotal role in (external and internal) audits.
You are encouraged to up-skill your team and critically impact people's development.
Other responsibilities include:
Ensure the laboratory complies with all internal computerised system requirementsSupervise and improve systems and compliance within the Analytical LaboratorySupport career development of reports and provide constructive feedback where requiredSupport the analytical team with other activities as requiredEssential for the role Tertiary qualification in a science or quality-related disciplineProject management expertiseExperience in analytical methods &/or instrument validation.Strong technical writing capability.Sound knowledge of the principles and concepts of Good Manufacturing Practice/ Good Laboratory Practice.Sound knowledge and understanding of analytical testing instruments and analysisProficient in problem-solving and risk analysisDesirables for the role Minimum 4 years of working experience in a Pharmaceutical Quality Control environmentMinimum 1 year of supervisory/management experienceAbility to build and manage relationships between key stakeholdersAuditing experience in either manufacturing or laboratory settingsKnowledge of sterile manufacturingKnowledge of computerised management systems (SAP, LIMS, LES, Trackwise etc)Why AstraZenecaAt AstraZeneca, we will help you expand your skills and knowledge and unlock your best.
