Full time | Maximum term position initially with likelihood of extension Increase fortnight take-home pay with access to $15,900 salary packaging benefits 10% gap discount for childcare services with Uniting Early Learning About the opportunity The Inner East Navigator Program is delivered in partnership between Uniting and the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency.
The program utilises a trauma informed, culturally safe assertive case management model to respond to challenges experienced by young people aged 12 – 17 years with the goal of re-engaging disengaged learners in education.
The Navigator Program understands how multiple characteristics can interact to compound educational disengagement, resulting in disconnection and a lack of a sense of purpose and self-worth for young people.
This amplifies service barriers and exacerbates social and economic disadvantage, and social isolation.
As Team Leader, you will oversee all aspects of referral, entry, engagement, and allocation, including:
Delivering and managing intake services, including initial risk assessments Liaison and collaboration with partner agencies and funding bodies Supervision and support of 5 staff members Community education What's on offer Join an organisation where we don't just provide a service.

In addition to receiving a salary (SCHADS Level 7) and superannuation, you'll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.

About you To be successful in your application, you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a Bachelor level degree in social work, psychology, social science, or a related discipline.
You will also have:
Previous supervisory experience within the child, youth, and family welfare sector Knowledge of family services, child protection, and/or out of home care, including relevant legislation and regulations An understanding of the barriers experienced by disengaged learners Proven ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and develop and implement a new program initiative Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed and culturally competent practice, including knowledge and application of therapeutic parenting practices How to apply Click APPLY to submit your interest.
