Our CouncilNarromine Shire Council covers an area of 5264 km2 and has a population of approximately 6444 in the rural townships of Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley and the surrounding rural areas.

Today, the Shire has a significant farming-based industry that contributes nationally.About the PositionNarromine Shire Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual for the position of Procurement Officer - Trainee.
This position is funded under the NSW Governments 'Fresh Start for Local Government Apprentices, Trainees, and Cadets Program'.The successful applicant will be required to undergo a structured traineeship program, gaining valuable qualifications in procurement and contract management fields.To be successful in this position you will need to have:Willingness and capacity to undertake studies to Cert IV level.Proficient written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a team environment.It would be desirable for you to have:Completed the HSCClass 'C' drivers' licence – including CP1 / 2General Construction Induction (CIC – White Card) NSWThe details relating to this position are:The position is graded Operational Band 1 / T7 to T10 as per Local Government State Award.The salary range is $1042 to $1194 per week plus superannuation.
