The Role The Litigation and External Review Team is responsible for managing a broad range of disputes, litigation and external review matters on behalf of the department, including commercial disputes, negligence claims and judicial review proceedings. The Senior Solicitor is responsible for providing specialist legal services and efficiently managing litigation files, as well as briefing counsel and external solicitors where necessary.
Key Accountabilities: Manage litigation and external review mattersProvide authoritative and strategic advice on complex and sensitive litigation and disputes mattersManage the delivery of legal servicesWork closely and collaboratively with othersContribute to the development of the Litigation and External Review TeamAbout You You will be required to demonstrate the following skills, experience and personal attributes:
Detailed knowledge and demonstrated experience in running litigation and/or external review mattersExperience drafting and reviewing a wide range of legal documentation particularly in the litigation contextDemonstrated ability to provide strategic and authoritative advice on legal issues arising from litigation or more generallyDemonstrated ability to liaise effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues, clients and key stakeholdersAbility to work constructively and effectively, manage competing priorities, and work within tight timelinesHow to Apply Please click the 'Apply Now' button.
