Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment) Full time Established in 1994, Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit organisation that provides essential and community services to remote Aboriginal communities across the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and Mid-West regions of Western Australia.
We also manage accommodation at Mirnutharntu Maya (meaning accommodation to support learning) located in South Hedland, which is a 48-bedroom facility designed for individuals to reside while undertaking training and education.
Reporting to the HR Manager, this is a unique opportunity to join our growing HR team as an experienced HR Officer at our Burswood office.
The role is diverse and dynamic, and you will have the opportunity to travel to the Pilbara where our head of operations is located.

The RoleEnsure the delivery of a smooth end-to-end recruitment processCreate job ads and monitor candidatesEmployee contract managementClassification of roles against the relevant Modern AwardAssistance with performance management and grievance issues as required or willing to be developedCoordinate the exit process including conducting exit interviewsAssist with adhoc projects as required including system process improvementsAbout YouQualification in Human Resources or experience equivalentA team player with a positive, can-do attitude (a must)Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with all levels in a businessDemonstrates initiative and problem-solving capabilitiesHR system knowledgeKnowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES and Award interpretationPerformance management experience or willingness to developWorkers compensation experience is desirableAbility to travel when requiredWe strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.
