Dairy Australia | Senior Farm Business Economist

About the role: Working within our respected and impactful Economic, Data and Insights team, the Senior Farm Business Economist will lead Dairy Australia's key farm business economics initiatives in this varied and important role.
You will bring thought leadership combined with analytical and interpretative capabilities to Dairy Australia, contributing to the improvement of the industry's knowledge and understanding of farm business economics in Australia.
This will include playing a key role managing the delivery of the Dairy Farm Monitor Project across all dairy regions, overseeing DairyBase (the industry's database for farm physical, financial, and carbon emissions data), and representing Australia in the International Farm Comparison Network (IFCN).
You will play a pivotal role in undertaking benefit-cost analysis of key Dairy Australia investments and developing professional relationships with agricultural economists nationally and internationally.

A relevant qualification in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Science/Commerce, or a related field, will be highly regarded as will your strong understanding of economics related to the agricultural sector including econometrics.
